"Couldn't fault anything really. Good value for money. Clean and well presented rooms. Friendly staff and there was a lovely aroma in the reception area and the lifts. Not sure if it was an air freshener but it was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. Good choice at breakfast and was nice to use the pool and facilities. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend. "

"This is an exceptional hotel in every department. Everything works well, breakfast was very good, staffs were helpful and polite, the hotel is conveniently located, had a brilliant sleep and our room was big and spacious, and not to mention the fact the the entire place was really clean throughout."

"Stayed for one night to break up a long drive back from Scotland, and so pleased we did. The location is wonderful, we had a lovely walk along the track just behind the building near the river. Beautiful countryside, very peaceful and interesting to see the remains of a roman bridge and Fort close-by. The room itself was excellent, and the whole place had real character, nice food at the resturant too. Finally thanks to the staff for beong friendly and welcoming, I would love to come back sometime."

I had a room service pizza which was rather large but very good . Breakfast was included and there was a good range of Buffett items which were regularly replenished by welcoming staff "
