"We stayed for 1 night at this gem of a place! We arrived quite late but managed to get into the restaurant just before they finished serving. The food was outstanding! Not an extensive menu. A few pub classics such as fish and chips. I had an open fish pie which was delicious. We had breakfast the next morning which was equally as good. We did say it was a shame we didnt live nearer as we'd definitely return for a meal. The rooms were recently modernised we were told and were lovely! A good size too and clean. A nice touch was to have a little bottle of fresh milk in the fridge to have with our tea and coffee instead of the usual longlife! This pub deserves to do well as they've put alot of effort into it and it shows!"

"Great hotel for visiting customer in Diss. Leisure facilities were very run down/unavailable. However, I had a very friendly check-in, a wonderful room, and the absolute difference was Lee in the bar. He was super attentive, busy, personable (we could have talked for hours about cars) and went the extra mile to look after me. He's a credit to your hotel!"
