"Strange vibe, very unwelcoming, sound from room next door all night of man speaking and could hear in snoring so loud, listed as breakfast but just a poorly equipped table of cereals and a super grubby kitchen that looked like some gross students lived there. Strangest thing was a man in the living area int he morning with his shirt off and a urine bag showing under is shorts, making a fry up in the grubby kitchen using all sorts of ingredients that he'd stored in the seemingly disgusting communal fridge. I'm not sure what the vibe is here but I think he lived here rather than staying. I made an instant coffee, skipped, breakfast and a morning shower and got out of there as soon a I could. Also no parking, it's in a car park on the other end of town that was full when I arrived so I parked on the street the other side of the other end of town. When I arrived I was greeted by a young lad who seemed nice enough but he didn't know what he was doing, and I heard him get barked at by a senior member of staff who was so rude and condescending to him, no need to treat him like that. Whatever you do, please don't stay here, it's super cheap but really not worth saving the cash."

"This is a lovely hotel which we have stayed in before. Friendly, helpful staff and conveniently situated for a short walk to the beach & Mawgan Porth, coastal walks. Buffet breakfast has lots of choice but does run out quickly, staff are on hand to top up but you may need to wait for certain items. Hot breakfast is available for a surcharge, we found the buffet breakfast more than adequate. No air conditioning in the rooms but fans were provided and these were very effective in the recent heat. Our room overlooked the car park (only option available when booked due to half term) which was noisy from early in the morning with deliveries and trolleys being pushed around. Ate in the OGO restaurant which was lovely staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable great recommendation on the local Bauhaus wine 😊 will definitely stay again for a nice relaxing break with nice food, sunset views and amenities."

The Mill House Inn

"Staff friendly and helpful. No true amenities. Two small bottles of a "bath/soap" liquid" in bathroom. Windows in both room and bathroom in room had tree leaves, branches coming in side and difficult to shut without moving the branches out of way . Mattresses were in need of updating were lumpy and and very uncomfortable. Outlet for plugging in phone was completely covered by bed and could not move bed in anyway to reach the outlet. A lovely site. The house is old but charming, food and staff outstanding. The history behind the house is very interesting. I would recommend updating maintenance, linens, and mattresses, maintaining the charm of place but giving it a "refresh"."
