"We loved our stay at Casa Pergola. It is very comfortable as well as beautifully thoughtfully designed, with so many unique features mostly made or created by the 2 artist owners Paul and David. Our favourite place was the pool house— perfect through the scorching hot days and the evenings. Paul was extremely helpful , making suggestions where to go, how to get places even making reservations. We could not have chosen a more wonderful place. "Great old converted estate. Amazing views, lovely rooms with character, facilities were great (Olympic size pool, tennis courts). Very friendly staff. Importantly dog friendly, we even got a special dog bag with goodies. "

"We needed a place on short notice close to Trabia, and Paolo and his sister made sure everything worked out, despite some confusion on check-in as we worked through visiting Italy for the first time. Communication was excellent, there was always someone available to answer questions and we had plenty. Two of the most important things for us: the apartment was very child-friendly; our adventurous two-year old son really could find almost nothing to get into trouble with (after some very minor shifting of the furniture). Secondly, the dining area has a beautiful view of the sea, huge windows, bright and airy with the sound of breaking waves making any meal that much more relaxing, which we really needed this trip. The kitchen is a little cramped, very little counter space for cooking. But everything worked well, even through a gale. We didn't have a car, and access to Trabia and the train station with a stroller was not easy--the roads are not designed to accommodate that, clearly, with narrow tunnels and cracked sidewalks. But it was everything we needed and more, and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the area. "

"Wonderful week away at Villa Silvia with family. The property was immaculately clean, air con in all areas inside, pool was cleaned regularly throughout the week and the gardens around the property were lovingly maintained. We loved the location (Il Bragone Ristorante is a hidden GEM!) and the proximity to the beach was a massive bonus. We had some fantastic walks in the area throughout the week & it was so nice to be able to take the short trip up into the hills to Caccamo Castle. The pool was truly wonderful, we loved playing in the water everyday as 5 adults ranging in age from 26-61! The hosts were truly incredible, Marco, Silvia and Matteo were so kind to us & helped us with the any questions we had. Silvia & Matteo gave us a warm welcome with a beautiful apple & honey cake, a bottle of red wine & some fresh tomatoes from their garden! Marco kept us supplied with fantastic recommendations that made us feel like we had our very own secret guide to Sicily! We truly felt like we were welcomed into their family, nothing else to say than this was the perfect place for a wonderful family holiday & we truly experienced a slice of La Dolce Vita."

"Villa Cottone è bellissima!!! Our family of 8 adults and one 3- year old thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our week-long stay. The Cottone Family is extremely accommodating, responsive and helpful. Each bedroom has its own bath, and the common areas (lanai, outdoor dining porch, POOL) were great for our large family. Lia arranged for a local chef to give us a cooking lesson in Sicilian cuisine…in the outdoor kitchen…and then served what we helped make- it was an evening we will never forget. Our new friends at Royal Polllo, an easy five minute walk from the villa, also offer a wonderful selection of take away meals and, of course, gelato. We loved everything about it-book it NOW!!!"

"We had trouble driving to the hotel as many of the exits were closed. Once we arrived, we were surprised at the updated rooms as the building seemed quite old. The rooms were clean, spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant on site was pricey and not to our liking but there were local places nearby that were great"
