"Horrible from the start. We greeted by a man named Miguel kindly. His first greeting, was it hello, welcome, nice to have you... hell no. First words out of his mouth were "no guests" when he saw our 80 year old friend helping us carry luggage in. Would have canceled then and there if I wasn't finacially committed. Place was not filthy, but not clean. No need to go on. Wife and I have rented literally hundreds of rooms throughout Italy (many times in Trestevere). We have never written a bad review until now. It was unfriendly, so save yourself from a big disappointment. Avoid this place and other rooms associated with this business."

"Good location. Daily room service. Hotel quiet. Bartender knowledgeable in making typical American cocktails. Staff very friendly and accommodating. They called a cab for us the day we left. And they were happy to put in the kitchen freezer the food containers that we took home from restaurants which we took back to the U.S. the day of our flight. However the morning croissants (coronets) were small."

"I loved our stay at the Hotel Trastevere! The authentic simplicity was like stepping back in time. There was an included breakfast that came with the most delicious cappuccino. The area, imo, is the best in Rome. The best part is the staff. So VERY kind and personable!!!"

"Room was extremely clean after each time housekeeping was in. Bed was a bit firm for me and staff added a topper which helped a ton and made sleeping much easier. Front desk staff was always helpful, accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was good, delicious fresh made coffee and the staff was great. The location was good and just a short walk to the centre and to the Vatican. No complaints, every staff member was so accommodating and helpful, that’s what really stood out to me the most. "

"I gave this a three star rating because there are no stairs to access the second floor from the hotel entrance. Guests are required to use the elevator, which in my estimation measures similarly to a phone booth. Our electricity went out at about 11 pm and remained out until we had to leave to the airport. There is no staff on site after 8pm and the hotel’s after hour emergency number was seemingly not operational. There is one set of emergency stairs to descend from the second floor that leads to the residences behind the hotel but can only be used for emergency exits and not entry unless guests have a door key, which we were not provided. Had power gone out before returning to my hotel after hours, there would have been no way to access my hotel room that night. That process needs to be resolved and I want to caution guests about that. Otherwise, staff, hospitality, hotel, breakfast, and room were friendly and clean. "
