Aquila Porto Rethymno

"This was the perfect location , just across the beach with all the amenities needed close by including food, restaurants and markets down the street 10 to 15 minute walk to everything. Hotel was fantastic, especially made our 30th wedding anniversary a special night by decorating our table and making it a memorable evening and fantastic service by Toula and Vassilis ♥️ Food was superb including a large selection for breakfast."

"Rooms were large and clean. The staff were great and did all they could to make our stay memorable. The pool was great and the food was excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very well done. The only caveat to that was the Tomatini restaurant which to our surprise was a little disappointing. This part of the island flies under the radar and is an absolute gem."

"A wonderful experience at the Syntopia. The staff were friendly and attentive without being formal or overpowering. As an example, the person on reception who checked us in remembered our room number a week later at check out! Had an amazing massage at the spa and made the most of the pool and roof top bar every day Food was fresh, tasty and varied every day"

"Hotel easy to find, next to large supermarket on a main road, a mile from the cross island route. Some parking, 3 allocated spaces and then on street parking nearby Has a lift but some stairs involved for most rooms. Room was a 2 room apartment with a large lounge/kitchen area, with a large Smart TV, oven, hob and fridge. Balcony off each room, large shower room, and plenty of storage space. Complimentary breakfast was good. Pool area limited, not enough sunbeds and begins to lose sun from about 3pm. Staff were pleasant and helpful. 100yds from the massive beach and its safe promenade full of bars and restaurants leading to town, about a mile away. The main road option I would avoid on foot, parked cars and busy junctions."

"We had a superior sea view room which did not disappoint. We only stayed 3 nights but thoroughly enjoyed it. Evenings are chilled, and daytimes we used the private beach. An overall luxurious resort."
