Friendly cheap hotel for early flights
Reception staff are very friendly and helpful. There were a couple of issues with my room, but they were sorted straight away. This is a very basic 'dry' hotel originally built for offshore rig workers so set your expectations accordingly. That said it's about a third of the price of the posh one next door which does have a bar. The airport check-in desks are about 600m away, ish, so a very easy walk. The bed was comfortable and roomy for one, but two might be 'cosy'. Also, surprisingly quiet. All things considered, very good value if you have an early flight or don't want to get up too early before driving. Or want a rest before a long drive home if you're arriving late.

Overnights
I was working nearby and stayed in the nightby, staff on the reception very helpful, polite and informative, standard rooms, but clean with tv and en suit, use of the amenities over in the hilton, where you can park for 10 pounds per 24 hours, good restaurant over in the hilton, and also a small gym which is fine. Didnt hear the planes whilst staying over either, good place if working away and a decent price also

Hotel is probably inspired by the Bibby Stockholm
The parking can't be paid for at the hotel, so you have to go to the Hilton hotel across the road to pay £10 for overnight parking. The corridor leading to my room smelled funny like somebody had been sick. The hotel room itself was reasonably clean, but the bed was very small. The bathroom was dated, and the shower cubicle was smaller than a phone box which was uncomfortable even for somebody as slim as me. The staff member who checked me in was friendly and helpful. The whole place has the ambience, dimensions and layout of an accommodation barge that you'd usually find in the oil and gas industry.

Slightly bizarre budget hotel
On arrival it was unclear as to where I could park, I rang the number I had found online (wasnt on the website) and found myself talking to someone abroad who then diverted me to a person at the sister hotel. On checking in I was told that I would have to go across to the other hotel to pay for parking. Also, I was informed after asking that the wifi was useless and that I would have to use my data. On entering the room I found the radiator to be on full blast (it was the end of July!) and the room was like a sauna. I suppose I cant complain too much as the room was cheap.
