"The line was long for check in. They were short staffed and staff made a mistake with a room assignment to another customer which held things up even more. Our room entrance was shared with another guest. It felt awkward. The room had 1 small mirror in the bathroom. The street noise was loud. We have stayed at much better properties in DC. The Line and The Hilton had much better service ! We have stayed many times in NYC and had excellent service and experience there.. We would probably not stay at Lyle again. "

"This historic property has a beautiful back terrace looking over a wooded area that is quite peaceful. The hotel is very accessible to other areas of DC as there is a metro stop just 2 blocks away and it is near an area with shops and restaurants."

"It was a great economical option for me as I was attending a conference. It was within walking distance to Dupont Circle and it was basic and clean but better than average."

"The property is located near a number of embassies but conveniently walkable to other attractions. Light or continental breakfast and coffee were available daily. While there is no gym on site, the property has an arrangement with Golds gym which is a short drive or perfect walk for a warmup. The parking is a bit complicated due to the location but not impossible. There’s also valet available.The rooms are older but clean. Lighting was dim but the biggest issue was the temperature. It was cold and there was no way to adjust the temperature. Staff were very courteous and knowledgeable and made accommodations when feasible. "

"Checkin was smooth and the staff very helpful. A long train ride that made us 4 hrs late getting into D.C. was exhausting. Sleeping on a nice firm bed , a wake up call, and a nice shower and breakfast before heading back to the train for the rest of our journey home, made our Churchill stay enjoyable. Front desk called a cab for us, and even assisted us with access to the restaurant as the Three steps up to it were hard for me with my mobility issues."
