"There are two parts to the hotel East and West. We were in the East hotel with the Angel roof bar/restaurant. The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Florence, within walking distance of all the museums and attractions. The rooms are large and airy with excellent facilities. the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only dissapointment was the Angel restaurant. We had booked the day before for an evening meal to enjoy the food and sunset. However the food was at best average, the pasta undercooked (not just al dente) and the service was rushed and inattentive. We did not feel welcome guests as we have at other restaurant in the area. I think they were trying to squeeze and extra cover in on our table that evening."
