"I am grateful for the bed and place to shower, but I was unsatisfied with the general status of the room (e.g. broken lamp, loose drawer handle, decrepit safe, dust on top high surfaces, etc.). Enjoyed the breakfast but the eggs were over cooked and the staff was less than helpful (e.g. the lady serving the breakfast bar chastised is when we left the spoon in the wrong place or didn't use the waffle machine to her liking. Felt like we were little children in her kitchen rather than guests to be served). Air-conditioning worked well. The room smelled funny, but I understand that humidity in Florida is hard to work with. Besides such superficial things, we were grateful to be able to get rest while we were traveling."

"Sleeping with the balcony door open listening to the water splash on the rocks was the absolute high point for me. The pool and bamboo bar were fantastic!!"

"Upon arrival into TPA, the shuttle bus was requested using a courtesy phone in the airport (as it was late). It arrived quickly and was easy to find. The hotel check in was quick and efficient and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean, large and quiet, even though the hotel was so close to the airport and full of a travelling teenage football team! Upon checkout I was able to use the pool area (small but efficient) and they held my luggage for me. The hotel exterior could do with an upgrade but for a convenient night near TPA this is an excellent choice"
