Absolutely fabulous hotel right next to the Weinerwald

The hotel was fantastic, breakfast was amazing and it was in a quieter part of town close to public transit.

This image of the lobby really captures it, and to the left is a majestic staircase up to the mezzanine restaurant which offers a delectable (and costly) breakfast. But overall the value is very good actually compared with other hotels in this most central of locations. Especially wonderful is the quiet! The windows are double glass, and at least in my room, the bedroom was inside the overall 'suite', with hallway and elegant/classical bathrooom (w/bidet, shower, and bath). And a heated mirror...

Such a delightful stay. Quiet huge cozy room. Great facilities like shower with overhead shower head and big toilet area and chic furniture. Extremely comfortable bed. When we arrived in Vienna, many streets were closed for a parade and the taxi could not get closer than 1 km from the hotel. I am mobility impaired and the hotel sent someone with a wheelchair to take me to the hotel and then he returned to take my companion with 2 suitcases to the hotel. Service in excess! The breakfast buffet was fabulous and the staff was the best! Next time in Vienna I will definitely return.

The hotel is on a great location close to the train station and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are very modern and well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay.

Not much of a boutique hotel person but definitely was very pleased with this hotel. Largest bed I have seen or slept on in Europe , pillows soft and comfortable. Room and bathroom larger than most places and well design. Close to all main attractions. Definitely would recommend to stay here .

Terrific small hotel 10 a ten-minute walk from Westbahnhoff. The staff is English-fluent and so friendly; the rooms are deliciously comfy; the breakfast is terrific; and the shady courtyard with cushy seating and a fountain is a lovely beguiling place to spend a lazy afternoon, have morning coffee or an afternoon drink.

Old apartment building concerted to a boutique hotel. It was done very well with stylish comfortable rooms and nice amenities. If you are looking for a conventional hotel this is not it. If you want a room that is comfortable and stylish with fine amenities coupled with great service, I would highly recommend the Altstadt.

We had a great experience at the hotel. The staff was superb, food and beverage very good and facility was excellent. The location was very convenient for the main train/metro station and walkable to the old town section of Vienna.

Loved staying here! The location was good for us -- we enjoy walking, and were able to walk nearly everywhere we wanted to go. There are restaurants close by. The complimentary spa was AMAZING!!!! We reserved the spa for 10:00 in the evening -- perfect end to a day full of walking. It was about a 10 minute walk from the subway station to the hotel. The staff was very, very accommodating. hotel's easy to reach from the airport (Rennweg stop on the S7 line) & the #71 streetcar gets you to the old town in about 10 minutes; the hotel has a great pool and the beds are super comfortable; there's a supermarket and a nice cafe half a block away (upon exiting the hotel and walking to the street you turn left)
