"Staff was very helpful and courteous. The night clerk even brought me a pot of hot tea! Amazing service. However there was an issue in the morning, as the maid knocked on my door 3 times starting probably at 9, for some unknown reason when I was just trying to sleep... My check out time was 12, and I checked in late... I do not know what was wrong with her, I even asked the staff on her, 4 star hotel, and something this ridiculous happens .."

"Gathering with family at the large dining table was lovely with the beautiful water views. The kitchen is a bit isolated from the downstairs living areas, but was well stocked with ample dishware and cooking necessities. We did not have any young children with us this trip, but loved the way the house was set up to accommodate little ones, including a full size crib. Easy walk into Main St, and has some very gentle hiking trails close by with beautiful water views. Overall, great stay! "

"Asa’s home was perfect for our family vacation of 4 (including our dog), but can accommodate many more - The view was so delightful (amazing) that it was difficult to leave each day to explore Newport and the surrounding area. Check-in was a breeze as Asa met us upon arrival to explain everything about the house. The house was lovely and comfortable. It was well-stocked with everything you would need for your stay. Getting to Newport was very easy as the house is close to the Jamestown Bridge. Narragansett is just a short drive away. We also enjoyed visiting the birthplace of Gilbert Stuart, the famous portrait artist. Much to do in the area but we really enjoyed just relaxing at this lovely home. We would not hesitate to recommend Asa’s getaway and we look forward to returning!"

"The house, location and amenities are exactly as advertised. A family of 4 (kids ages 6&8) and grandparents (2) fit comfortably. We had everything we needed to have meals in when necessary and hang out to play games. The private beach is fabulous, we came after a big storm so when the public beaches were closed for swimming it made for a great place to be in the water all day. The distance to our favorite spots in Narragansett and Newport was perfect and communication with the host was great. We will be back and would recommend!"
