"We were extremely disappointed to be confronted with a run down house which was badly in need of maintenance and nothing like the photos on the website. Tired after driving thirteen hours we viewed the room and facilities, Room was tiny and bed/bedding very worn, barely room to get around the bed, door was locked with a dead lock and on the outer of the door was a patch of black board paint with our surname written in chalk. "Room was very clean and staff were helpful (we had some items missing from our room but this was quickly rectified). WiFi was a bit unstable. Breakfast was a help-yourself selection of cereals, toast and yogurt which was fine. Location is lovely, and the rooms and beds were comfortable. A nice place to stay."

"This was a cheap room, very bare bones and basic but exactly what we needed for one night close to all the cool attractions in the area. It was just my 13-year-old son and I. The receptionist was extremely nice and explained everything really well. She even turned the heat on for us and explain the space heater which we definitely needed as it was pretty chilly that night.I was a little bummed out that the beds were slightly squeaky, the doors to the rooms were really loud, and the walls seem to be very thin. But even with all that I still slept well. Overall happy about it, but perhaps I would try the more chalet style rooms next time and find an even better experience."

"This cabin is in a beautiful location at the top of a hill. It’s best to give yourself a little time to get up the winding roads, especially if there’s fog. When we arrived, we were met by our host who is very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our conversation with him. He is a big LOTR fan so we had a fun time talking about filming locations and personal stories he had. The cabin is well appointed and we found the electric blanket and space heater were on when we arrived. There are some nice amenities for eating a meal, having coffee, and there’s cereal for breakfast. There is also a small fridge. Do bring any other food you want to eat because there’s nothing super close. We walked down the dirt path at night to view the glow worms and also had the chance to see lots of stars and the Milky Way. The private bathroom is just around the corner from the cabin, an easy 10 second walk and not spooky in the dark - it’s easy to turn on lights to find your way. It was clean, comfortable and warm. This place is very peaceful and homey and we would absolutely stay here again. It was a highlight of our trip."
