"There are not enough words to describe the beauty and well kept up of the property as well as the cabin. The pictures do not do it justice. The rushing creek wrapped all the way around the house. From the master balcony upstairs, you can open the door, but close the screen door and just lay there and hear the creek. The house is so beautifully landscaped, all of the trails were cleared, there weren’t even any weeds in the pathways! The flowers were also so beautiful. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the home. I was even more impressed with the accommodations. When they say in the listing that they have towels, spices, basically anything that you will need on your vacation, of course, the dishwasher one time used pod, but that was perfectly fine. The owner was so accommodating. There was a moment during a storm where the power had gone out, I had text him, and he contacted back within moments, as the generator had already turned on! Which is very impressive. The house was clean, very, very comfortable. Perfect for a family. You don’t have to leave the property to have a great day!! Rock hopping up and down the creek was so much fun. Sitting by the fire each night was the best. There is Plenty of seating from the fire pit, to the porch. I’m in Love with this Cabin!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! So much to do close by. We will be back!!! "
"Three generations of my family (ages 17 - 87) spent a week at Ridgeview Retreat. The house is large, spacious, well-appointed, clean, comfortable and has spectacular views of the mountains. I appreciated Racquel's attention to detail and the comprehensive binder she has created with information about the house, nearby attractions, and dining recommendations. The home is not far from town but feels serene and secluded. There are plenty of games and tvs inside the house but we mostly enjoyed the nature views from the expansive decks and screened-in porch. We even got to see a mama bear and her four cubs pass through the property!We explored nearby towns such as Cherokee, Sylva (eat at Ilda!), Bryson City, Lake Junaluska, Asheville and even Dollywood. We also enjoyed Smokey Mountain National Park and driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We did try to always return to the house before dark as the last stretch to the house is gravel, narrow, and winding, which we are not used to driving on. Highly recommend this home for a large group!"
