The hotel was very quiet and the room was spacious and looked like the pictures. The breakfast was hearty and fresh.

There is a beautiful hiking trail right by the hotel. Good souvenir stores right next to hotel. My daughter had her birthday while we were there and the staff ordered her a Black Forest birthday cake and decorated the table for her. I was very impressed with their service to help make this a memorable day for my daughter.

We were looking for a smaller hotel with a traditional Schwarzwald flair in a beautiful location, and this fit the bill perfectly! This is an old house, but entirely up to modern standards inside, with a friendly staff and warm feel. The room was cozy, looking out on the quiet main plaza with its church. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The room was cozy and clean and the property was fairly central to everything we wanted to do in the Hoch Schwarzwald.

It's a very good base for walking in the area, though the lake is not as pretty as Titisee up the road. Parking was easy, luckily, but they also give you a pass while you're there and you can take the train wherever you want. If you have a dog, the facilities are good and they were very kind. There's a nice park just up the hill, great for early morning or late night walkies. Very convenient to a grocery store, an atm, and right across the street from the tourist information center! The property was beautiful and the view was amazing! Plenty to do in the area even in the summer. Breakfast was delicious. One of our favorite stays while visiting Germany.

Such an underrated hotel! This was the cutest simple place we’ve stayed. Ascetically unique with the old style building and modern flare. Staff were so accommodating and make the best breakfast! Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quaint place to rest your head.

A wonderful location in the Black forest with the flair of the old Germany the old Black Forest the people working there were absolutely wonderful. It’s a very classy environment. Fantastic food, fantastic wine from barrels. They also have a sauna and a honor system in the seller so if you would like wine or any other beverage, you just take it put your name on it and pay at the end beautiful environment.
