"This is a large property on a good of course a few miles out of town. It’s beautiful and quiet with large rooms and very attractive public spaces. Additionally the staff are friendly, outgoing, helpful and cannot do enough to make your visit comfortable. Dinner at the Pullman Restaurant - in train cars from the Orient Express was special and expensive but worth the splurge. The only negative was being charged 7 Euros for a bottle of tap water on top of many hundreds of euros for dinner. "

"The Kinvara Guesthouse is a jewel. It's big-city lodging in a small, cozy Irish town. It's the kind of town one sees in Irish travel books and brochures. Parking is available in front of the guesthouse, on the street, essentially. They have an elevator (lift) which was a big help for my wife (and me with our luggage). We had a huge room on the second floor with a view of the "plaza" in front of the guesthouse. The bathroom was more than adequate. Our only complaint is that there were no wash...

In addition, excellent rooms and facilities, great food (e.g., best seafood chowder I've ever had) and central location with all shops within short walking distance. Though I was on a business trip, I had time to admire some of the beauty of Co. Mayo and fell in love with it. "
