Quiet, beautiful waterfront property on Connecticut river with mountain views!!!

"Really enjoyed our stay in Monroe. The location was a perfect home base for exploring Vermont and New Hampshire. The property was very quiet and peaceful. The garage apartment had everything we needed for our stay. The mattress and pillows were a little firm for our liking but we made it work. Jeff and Susan were great hosts."

"We couldn't have picked a better week to come to NH in the fall. The color was beautiful and our stay at Dowds bnb was lovely. The bed was comfy, we had our own bathroom, the other guests seem respectful of noise and the breakfast was delicious. There are no TV's in the room so bring your laptop if you want to watch a movie or anything else. We would definitely stay here again. The staff was excellent."

"Beware that check in is at 3 pm and the office closes at 5pm during some times of the year. The room was nice, quaint but on the 4th floor and we were unaware of a flight of stairs we needed to go up. The TV wouldn't turn on so we spent a bit working on that. Breakfast was a delight and the service was excellent."

"What a great place, only a half hour from home. The setting is tranquil, the quality of the dwelling is amazing, and the hosts are 10/10. We plan to come back this winter/spring and next summer. Best place we've stayed. Richard & Sally, and our dog, Ginger Ale."

"We had a fabulous time. Your cabin was perfect. We enjoyed the hot tub and had a nice little fire. We had been out and about site seeing all day. And it was a great place to come back to and relax with a few glasses of wine. Thank you very much."
