The large King bed in the master bedroom was incredibly comfortable, and the linens were fresh and high quality. It’s hard to overstate how clean and well-maintained the entire house was—it truly felt like a home away from home.The location in Whalehead was ideal: peaceful, family-friendly, and just a short walk to the beach. "The house was cleaner than most beach houses I have been too and it had a fantastic pool and hot tub. The rrooms were really nice and two had an adjoining bathroom. the owner provided a document that provided everything you would need to know about the house and the area. The beach was just down a dirt road that was only traveled by those on the road and the beach was never really crowded and it was very clean. Not great for finding sea shells or sharks teeth but no rocks or anything but soft sand and even very little sea weed. pretty much only saw some a time or two over the week. The waves were great for boogie boarding. You are on the ouskirts of town so no heavy traffic but close enough to stores and grocery stores only a few miles down the road. Ihave been coming to the outer banks for probably 12 years maybe more and this was the nicest one we stayed at todate. "
