Top Wilberfoss Hotel Reviews
Stableside at York Racecourse
10/10 Excellent
"This is a great place to stay on a trip to York. It is so well placed for the city centre-lots of buses go past or you can walk (30 minutes). Prices are much more reasonable than other hotels in the area. I stayed in a single room in the annexe which was basic but comfortable. I never saw anyone else in the shared bathroom. Breakfast was great and the complimentary coffee machine is a bonus. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. This was my second stay and hopefully it won't be my last."
The Grand, York
10/10 Excellent
"Perfect attention to detail. Friendly. Room furnished to a high quality and bathrooms delightful! Bed so comfy, I found there was some noise I didn’t expect from corridor but nothing that posed a nuisance. Breakfast was superb."
ibis Styles York Centre
8/10 Good
"Hotel was clean and fresh smelling. Our room was well laid out with plenty of storage and space around furniture so we weren’t bumping into each other. The bathroom was a little tired with a leaky shower pipe, a missing dial front, stained door seals on shower cubicle and a loose toilet flush. Once again plenty of room in the bathroom. We had a corner room on the ground floor facing the street so the traffic was quite noisy but we still managed to sleep well enough. Breakfast choices were amazing and I’ve never seen such a vast offering of items before. All the main cooked items, fresh fruit and fruit salad, yoghurts, pastries, continental meats and cheeses, cereals and plenty of little extras to make yoghurt bowls. I looked forward to my muesli with added chia seeds and cranberries on our second morning as it was so tasty the first day! Staff were all very pleasant, friendly and helpful. My only tiny issue was the cost of the parking on site as I couldn’t find this listed on the website anywhere so that was an extra expense we weren’t expecting. Great stay in a city heaped with truly interesting history and so many breathtaking buildings"
