"We LOVED our stay at Bear Cub Cabin! The cabin was immaculately clean (and I'm picky about cleanliness) - you would never guess this cabin was pet friendly. It was cozy, decorated well, new, and bright. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were SO comfortable, the blankets extra soft, and heat/AC could be adjusted in each room so all of our temperature preferences were met. My kids loved the upstairs den (and are 11 and 13 but this spot would be even more fun for younger aged kids). The outdoor firepit appears new and has a gorgeous view of the lake. The hot tub was also overlooking the water and we all enjoyed it. The dock looked so fun and was well equipped for summer fun with kayaks - we can't wait to return to use in the summer. It was honestly perfect for our family of four (plus dog). As the other reviews mention, Charity - the owner - was so easy to work with and went above and beyond to make our stay extra comfortable (leaving out s'mores supplies for us, cleaning and leaving warm blankets for us for to use around the firepit because she knew it would be cold, providing reccomendations for nearby hikes to do with our puppy). Wifi worked perfectly in the cabin. We watched family movies each night on the tv. We give this cabin our highest recommendation! "

"We were in the area for a family wedding and our stay at the Hill Top Hide Away was amazing! The property is beautiful and very comfortable and the views are just breathtaking! The hosts are great and very easy to communicate with and added to the wonderful experience. 5 stars all the way and we would definitely stay there again!"

"Upon arriving we could not get ahold of the property management company, we had requested an early entry at noon so we ended up just driving there since I had the code anyways. We were the first to stay so I didn’t think it would be a problem. Well it was, upon multiple messages and emergency calls to “management”, we finally just hung out at the winery nearby to kill time meanwhile my food was sitting in the cooler. When we finally got a call back hours later we were told the code was activated. Well it wasn’t. So we called back with barely a cell signal and were given a different code to get the key out of the lockbox. Upon entering it was clear the views in the listing were disingenuous. House was clean. Dusty but clean. My son ended up having terrible allergies there, either from the dust or the bed linens. The beds are NOT queens. They are a full size which is a far cry from a queen, had I known that I would have swiped right on by this property. I slept on the pullout which was in the living room, not ideal. The pin ball machine needed quarters as well, might want to note that in your listing. It was so off putting to not be able to reach anyone. They didn’t leave many towels, or dish pods, although the kitchen was well stocked with things that were pleasant surprises. The fan hood on the stove also doesn’t work. The lake is quite arid that was a surprise but the boys still managed to have fun. Would not recommend this property and certainly not its management team! "
