A Happy Place Encounter

Enjoyed The Ark Encounter, Creation Museum and Claiborne Horse Farm. But it was absolutely heavenly to come back to Sherry’s Happy Place and unwind after each busy day. Perfect place for a quiet getaway.

Annual road trip

This is the perfect place to stay to get away and enjoy nature and peace and quiet. The house is amazing and very clean and the hostess makes sure your stay is amazing! Highly recommended!!!

Girlfriend Getaway

Our stay was wonderful. The cabin was very clean and cozy. Beautiful country scenery. Sherry was so accommodating and helpful and the delicious homemade bread just added to it. All you need to bring is your clothes! I would highly recommend My Happy Place and hope to get to go back sometime!

The "cottage" was charming and comfortable. Very private and peaceful. Sherry, the host, was very nice and helpful, and made us a delicious loaf of homemade bread. Convenient to The Ark, which is why we were in the area

Felt like Home

We stayed for one night after visiting the Ark. The property has a homey feeling and very clean! Sherry was so sweet and we enjoyed talking with her. She even set us up with stuff for a camp fire so all we had to do was light it. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the countryside. Thank you for an awesome stay!

Best stay ever!

Everything about this stay was perfect! Sherry was so easy to communicate with and such a great host! Home was spotless and very close proximity to the Ark Encounter. Home was spacious and the property breathtaking! Homemade banana bread from Sherry on arrival! Beautiful setting and amazing views. Lots of room to spread out and relax. Definitely bringing my family back !

New Years visit to Ark

My family of 4 (2 kids 8&9), and my husband and I traveled from NY to KY over the New Year holiday to see the Ark Encounter. Sherry was such a thoughtful and gracious host! She contacted me a few weeks before our stay to give directions, met us at the entry to the property to take us back to our rental, and had even set up animals around the rental for the kids to find! The home was so clean, and had everything our family needed during our stay, from spices & condiments for meals we cooked to extra toiletries and laundry soap. It quickly felt like a home away from home. Sherry was so accessible, yet gave us space to explore the area and enjoy our time as a family on her property. We will definitely be back!!

Best Vacation!

This was one of the most amazing places my wife and I have ever stayed with our son! We have stayed in bigger and fancier places but none compare to this happy place. There was something special about this stay. This home is located on the back side of Sherry's family farm. The closest neighbor to us was over 1/2 mile away. It was so peaceful!! It gave us time to spend together, to rest and to relax. The only thing that we didn't like was having to leave. Sherry is one of the kindest and sweetest people that we have ever met. We hope to return again so that we can enjoy her happy place once more!!

My friend of nearly 30 years and I came to stay at this little slice of heaven for just a small little getaway from our stressful day to day and catch up. We had such a great and comfortable stay here. It was perfect. Sherry was so wonderful and informative, and she worked with us when we were about to blasted with what we hope is the last snow storm of the season. She allowed us to move the date so we could truly enjoy our trip. She brought us a loaf of delicious bread that didn't last the night lol. The fire pit was all stacked and ready to go, the house was very clean and well stocked. In our excitement we forgot 2 items: 1 egg and Cumin. She was gracious enough to share an egg from her kitchen and track down the spice we needed to complete our delicious meal. The weather was perfect, the beds were comfy and the house is cozy. 10/10 will be back again. Thank you again for a much needed day off and sharing your Happy Place with us!

Very Quiet

This place is wonderful. Very clean and Ms Sherry is so sweet and helpful. I loved the fire pit, porch swing. Only thing I would have done different. Is to bought some groceries before we got there. Other than that it’s a great place for a getaway. It’s so peaceful.planning going back in the fall.

Property took me back to my childhood a little town in West Tenn. The place was just comforting. I was able to sit on front porch rocking with my coffee and the sun rise. So much better than hotel stay worth the extra coins.

Sherry was an excellent host. She greeted us at the meeting site and we followed her down her propertys road to the house. The house was neat and nicely decorated with little animals hidden throughout for the kiddos enjoyment. (Be sure to bring a tiny animal to hide for her and other visitors) Sherry gave us a tour of the house, showing us where everything is, including extra blankets and board games. She gave us a loaf of homemade banana bread and it was a delicious breakfast treat that we all enjoyed. This is the best vrbo experience we've ever had. Thanks for welcoming our Girl Scout Troop. TERRIFIC STAY

My Happy Place was terrific! Sherry was an excellent hostess and the house couldn’t have been better. She made sure everything that we could ever need was there. Plus, she is a great person!!! The house is in a quiet location and you can even see the ark from the property. We couldn’t have picked a better place to spend our vacation .
