"We absolutely loved staying at the Crown and Cushion. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well The staff was amazing. We were greeted by Ellie and she was wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and we felt like we were treated so kindly. In the evening we had a pint at the bar and our server was Costas. He was a delight. We enjoyed talking with him. "This hotel is in a great location and staff is wonderful and very nice. My suite had small living room and separate bedroom. Bed was very comfortable but the furniture in the living room was a bit worn. The bathroom though was superb! Updated with new everything, subway tiles and glass walk-in shower. "

On arrival you’re greeted with a fairly grand-looking 18th century mansion, but walk beyond the frontage and you come to the decidedly average 70s/80s extensions which provide the bulk of the accommodation. My room was in these buildings. Room was ok, but no air con meant it was uncomfortably hot, even on an average British spring evening. They must be unbearable in the summer.
