Truly excellent hotel with fantastic service. Food was best I have had in a hotel for years. Room was small but very well appointed and spotless. This is probably one of the best hotels to stay in Oxford. Well located, just a short walk to the city center.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel 17-19 May and were greatly impressed by the hotel and in particular the staff and service they provided at this property. From the moment we were checked in by Erica and checked out by Nimisha the service was flawless. Every staff member was immaculately groomed and excellent ambassadors for the hotel. The staff were the BEST- I meet Monica at check in and then Alex and another woman who's name I can't remember-sorry. All staff were professional and very conscious of the role of they play in the guest's satisfaction. Rooms were well designed, bathrooms roomy and the breakfast had a good variety- the cut fresh fruit was my go-to with a selection of yogurts and...

Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace.
