"Huge place and comfortable enough. TV has no signal and there was no sign of a wifi code and no connection that I could make, so pointless having a tv in the place as not useable. Rooms were comfortable and big, bathroom is very nice too, shower needs some attention though as the top head is so limescales it sprays over the top of the shower and on to the floor, and there is some bad mould on the base, door runners also not working properly. "Took the grandsons for a few days glamping in one of the pods. Very clean and pretty much everything you need to camp with the added luxury of a real bed and shower. . Staff were really friendly and very helpful. The boys loved fishing on the little ponds, and even managed to catch a few. And they had their first experience of open water swimming in the lake. It’s very quiet through the week. Don’t know about weekends. And there is a cafe and bar which we made use of. Would definitely recommend...

"Buffett breakfast wasn't as good as we thought it should be. Cooked breakfast was quite bland. No air-conditioning in the room, there was a small desk fan that was of no use, but as its an old building we didnt expect anything at all."

"Clean, well presented hotel in the centre of Chester. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was pleasant and cool. Be mindful of the items in the minibar, while some are free other may incur unexpected costs. The free continental breakfast was a little too formal. The waited service bringing individual items to the table on request was new to us. Parking was available on the second floor with an enterance into the hotel but charges apply. A pleasant stay, with a nice range of restaurants and bars."

"We always stay in this hotel because the location is right in the middle of Chester, the rooms are always clean and beds are comfortable. Lovely fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Our room had air conditioning though not available in all rooms I think, much needed for our stay in the extreme hot weather. Reception was very pleasant and welcoming and helpful. Great hotel to stay for a few days visit to Chester. we always stay at the back of the hotel as it is quieter."
