The Space:

Botanicals is a recently remodeled, solar-powered home on five private acres on a mesa in Yucca Valley, on paved roads but well away from town. Large windows and sliding glass doors bring in panoramic views of the San Gorgonio mountains and the Joshua Tree valley, and works by local artists and ceramicists are found throughout the property. Outside are a saltwater pool, a hot tub, a putting green, an outdoor gas fireplace, a fire pit and a queen sleeping platform. With three bedrooms, two with private courtyard entrances, and two bathrooms, it suits families and groups of up to six. Take a pillow out to the sleeping platform and stay the night.

-Outdoor Amenities-

Take a dip in the private saltwater pool (pool floats and noodles provided) or soak in the eight-person hot tub. Play bocce ball, putt on the 4-hole putting green or set up jumbo Jenga. Shaded patios wrap every side of the home, and lounging areas look out at the night sky; you can even sleep outside on the queen-size sleeping platform. There is also an outdoor gas fireplace, a wood-burning fire pit with a spark screen and a gas grill. The yard is not fully fenced, and you can walk and hike in the neighborhood.



-Living Area-

The open-concept living room has tall vaulted ceilings, large windows and sliding glass doors, with views of the San Gorgonio mountains. Smart TVs, a Sonos sound system, books and board games are on hand, along with high-speed Wi-Fi and central air conditioning.



-Kitchen and Dining-

The renovated kitchen has high-end GE Café appliances, including a convection oven with an air fryer, a full-size refrigerator and a wine refrigerator, plus a Nespresso machine. It flows into the dining area and living room. A gas grill is outside, and grocery and meal delivery services serve the home.



-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-

The two main bedrooms each have a private entrance through a courtyard, and the third bedroom has a queen bed. There are two bathrooms. Mattresses come with multiple pillow choices, and a Pack 'n Play is available. The outdoor queen sleeping platform offers another place to sleep.



-Surrounding Area-

Joshua Tree National Park and Pioneertown make good outings from Botanicals. With a basic four-wheel-drive vehicle and experience handling it, the remote areas around the home offer desert scenery with fewer crowds than the national park.



Guest Access:

The entire house and property are yours to enjoy!



Access to the property is by keypad entry, with parking for multiple cars.



The Neighborhood:

Botanicals sits on a mesa with sweeping views and privacy in an undeveloped area, yet close to town and the park on paved roads. Grocery and meal delivery services such as Instacart, DoorDash and Uber Eats deliver to the home. Pioneertown is also minutes away.



Getting Around:

A personal vehicle is necessary to get around in this area - rideshare apps are not guaranteed.



Uber and Lyft drivers are sometimes available, but waits can be long and unpredictable. The home is on paved roads.



Other Things to Note:

-Yucca Valley Short Term Rental Agreement-

Before check-in, guests are required to read, understand and sign an agreement acknowledging the house rules and guest expectations, as required by the Town of Yucca Valley's Short Term Rental Ordinance.



-House-Specific Rules-

► Any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee for the first hour, with an additional $100 charged for every hour thereafter.

► Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

► There is parking for multiple cars.

► Any locked closet, room or storage area on the property is reserved for rental supplies and is off limits to guests. Guests may be held responsible for damage or missing items if a locked area is entered.

► Please avoid using the hot tub right after it has been serviced, while chemical levels are temporarily higher.



-Pool Heating-

The pool is heated by a solar heating system rather than a traditional heater. It helps maintain a comfortable water temperature, but warm water is not guaranteed, as performance depends on weather and sunlight.



-Hot Tub-

The hot tub is always on and heated to 104 degrees. Please leave the cover on when not in use, as the temperature drops when the cover is off.



-Pool and Hot Tub Service-

The pool and hot tub are serviced Wednesdays, approximately between 9am and 4pm. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to the backyard.



-Pet Policy-

We welcome your dogs! There is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation how many dogs you are bringing. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed due to the owner's severe allergy.

-Wildlife & Safety-

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it's important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



-Security Camera-

For your security, there is a Ring doorbell camera at the front entry. There are no cameras inside the home or facing any private areas, including the pool and hot tub.



-Cell Service-

Cell phone coverage in the area may be limited or unavailable depending on your carrier. Wi-Fi is available at the property.



-Damage Waiver Policy-

Each reservation requires either a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver.
