However, room was very hot and air-conditioning not working (showing Error 004) and the stand-alone heater/fan rather flimsy and very noisy. Also the bathroom was looking a bit tired. But our needs were met and we would stay there again if in the area. "

"Impressive building, super receptionist, who was extremely helpful. Had a super, very clean room overlooking the river and was a glorious Easter weekend. The room was large with a lovely big firm bed and nice pillows. TV, kettle, extra heaters and fan(if you needed them). Double glazed windows and super shower with plenty of lovely hot water. Nice to sit looking at the river in the late afternoon too. On the outskirt of the town so reasonably quiet but easily within walking distance of the town....

"This property is exceptional, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, safe room, water provided every day, lovely staff, great food, we had beautiful breakfasts every morning of our 4 nights stay & dined in the restaurant 1 night, we had a room with a lovely view of the Severn, my only gripe is that the rooms are very warm, a fan was provided which helped a bit. "Comfortable room at very reasonable price including full breakfast, which was excellent. Convenient for city centre, cathedral and cricket (my reason for trip). I travelled by train so can't comment on parking. It's an old inn so rooms are not super-modern but have character. It was very warm until I had had the windows open overnight. A fan was provided but I was glad I missed the predicted heatwave a few days later. With windows open there was a degree of street noise, e.g. bin lorries early...

"Great views from the bar and garden, and perhaps some rooms though not ours as we were facing out the back. Rooms are clean and functional but nothing to write home about, with bathrooms not dissimilar to the toilets in a school 20 years ago. Nevertheless, a good night's rest and great location if you're playing golf and the nearby Cleeve Hill golf course. "
