"We were a bit sceptical about the resort at first due to previous reviews. However it was a great 10 day stay for us. The food was lovely, couldn’t get enough of the prawns. The room with the sea view was amazing. The staff were great, thank you Maria you made our stay very comfortable. If you need some where close to the airport and 5min away from Stone town then I recommend Zanzibar beach resort. "

"I paid circa $50 for one night here on a work trip. For that price I think it was a complete bargain. Location is great, no night clubs / chickens crowing next door so quiet. I didn’t have breakfast there so can’t comment on food (so many choices within a 5-10 min walk). This is not a luxury hotel like a Hyatt or Serena. Instead it’s bursting with Stone Town character, amazing location, nice bed and bathroom with lovely staff. Will stay again and willing to pay a little more. "

"What a gem! We absolutely loved our stay at the Passion Boutique Hotel. Madalina (hotel manager) and all the staff are so welcoming and hospitable. I cut my foot out in the ocean on some coral and Madaline immediately took action and got me antibacterial creams. We also got pretty badly sunburnt and she provided us with a freshly cut, cold aloe.
