"Hotel La Colonna is a lovely hotel with a pool set in gardens but it’s the location that is a problem. It is set on a main through road on the outskirts of Siena. You will have to bus or taxi into the centre. Buses don’t run at night. We did eat at a lovely family run Italian pizza restaurant close by and there are a few other eateries but you are limited. The receptionist Alexandra (?) was so lovely and informative and seemed to work in all areas. There are not many staff here. Overall,...
