"It was the ease of getting to the Arena to see Lionel Ritchie. Parking although we were in the overflow car park, was cheaper and also better than Arena parking. "I had a lovely stay at the Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the historic building adds a lot of charm. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent—fresh and well-prepared. Only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit basic compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Would definitely return!"

"Stayed for part of the bank holiday with my parents and my family in the Dainton Suite which was nice and spacious as pictured. The rooms were clean and each suite room had its own shower. As there was no AC, fans were provided and it was a comfortable stay. The breakfast was great though it would have been nice to have vegetarian sausage but there were eggs, beans, hashbrowns, juice/coffee/tea, pastries and yogurts and cereals. Fillling and well kept! Above all, the staff were all friendly and courteous- brought charm to a cute hotel in an area quite accessible to the city and Peak District! "
