"I LOVED this hotel. I’m a world touring cyclist and I love quiet and remote. This hotel was FANTASTIC. Idyllic setting high above the bay. Beautiful grounds. Lovely gardens. Stunning. The hotel just had a makeover and it looks beautiful! My room overlooked the sea—clean and comfortable and a great bathtub! Breakfast was plentiful and high quality. A dreamy stop as I pedal the UK. "First sight of the hotel made me think its was a bit run down, outside paint work and car park (that was of a good size) needed some TLC. On going in the Hotel was busy, the 2 staff that where there were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was fine room was ok for me ( bathroom needed to be made over) i was in room 12 facing the road so if you a light sleeper not the best room as you face the main road. "I thought this was a fabulous, up market hotel. The rooms were fabulous, the pool gorgeous in fact everything was great. The only thing that spoiled my stay was the breakfast. The breakfast menu was extensive, but only for cooked breakfast. I don't eat cooked breakfast. I asked for cereal and toast. I was given a small box of corn flakes (no choice) 2 slices of toast and a mini jar of marmalade for us both. My partner had a cooked breakfast and therefore no cereal. There is a definite need for...

"I stayed at the Palm hotel for a business weekend. The hotel was very clean. Good choice of options for evening meals. Breakfast options were excellent. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. Really good location only five minutes drive from the railway station and minutes to the venue I was attending."

"I was traveling to the area alone and had chosen to stay here. I was greeted by a very friendly lady who I later discovered was the owner. The room was very clean a pretty with everything you needed. That evening I had a drink in the bar and the owners were so friendly and welcoming offering any assistance I may need. The breakfast was delicious and while I didn’t eat a meal there the menu looked great and very varied. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area. "
