"We have stayed at the Yakinthos at least 6 times over the last 20 years. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to a lovely sandy beach and numerous restaurants. Lovely pool area. There is a bus stop nearby No 21 frequent bus service to Chania town. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is showing some signs of age but this is reflected in the price and the location makes up for it. The rooms facing the road can be noisy from the traffic so I would recommend booking a...

"The welcoming feeling goes beyond the arrival. It is all way till the end, when the team thank you and says "hope see you again" - priceless. The whole team, from receptionist and cleaners to management, they are very friendly and helpful. They offer toiletry produced locally. "The view from our windows over the curving harbour of Chania was outstanding! Many photos were taken of the water and shore sites and activities of this beautiful scene! Georgio and Teresa were wonderful hosts. Georgio helped us up to the top floor with our heavy luggage and then spent quite a bit of time describing best restaurants for various meals and times day. He is quite proud of Chania and Helena Hotel. We had a wonderful time and look forward to staying at the Helena Hotel next time...
