"A lovely place to stay for a couple. Staff attentive, facilities excellent - the sauna is wonderful. The seaview room was only partial at best however."
"Rooftop bar/pool area used for breakfast is a real delight with views of the sea and mountains.
The food was exceptional and the dinner buffet very good value head and shoulders above most we have experienced in terms of quality and choice.
Very unusual for holiday hotels is the quality of the bedrooms and especially the bed.
Excellent in all respects apart from the MUZAK which is played morning noon and night and spoils the wonderful rooftop breakfast experience totally.

"Really lovely villas and large pools. Could do with slightly more foliage in between villa terraces for added privacy and the cleaner should sweep when changing towels etc..other than that the owners were extremely friendly and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here. Definitely need to rent a car. "

"We all had a fantastic time here it was a beautiful villa, you will not be disappointed, the pictures don’t do it justice and the view wow. Great decor, spacious, clean, great air conditioning and everything you could need and more. It worked fantastically for all of us and the pool was amazing. Fantastic location wonderful area with safe beach, plenty of great places to eat and enough shops to browse. We would definitely recommend, easy check in and receptive hosts. "

"Gorgeous villa in a fantastic location. The pool is amazing - big enough for all 5 adults at the same time.The host, Jan, came to introduce himself and was warm, friendly and extremely helpful with information about the local area.We had a fantastic 10 days and would definitely return. "The property was absolutely amazing. There was a total of 14 of us and the space accommodated us well. There was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, no issues there. The kitchen was large enough for several of us to be using at the same time and was fully stocked with all the equipment needed. The outdoor pool area was breathtaking, the pictures online are REAL! The property was close to several markets and restaurants. The property was private and peaceful a true gem."

"Perfect location with stunning views across Almyrida, we watched the sunset each evening from our balcony.
Beaches & restaurants were just a few minutes walk away. Restaurants offered a delicious array of dishes, lots of fish and Cretan style salads.
Lovely sandy beaches and shallow sea, perfect for a dip to cool off.
We took a taxi to Chania Old Town one day which we would definitely recommend, you can also take the bus there from Almyrida.
Just as feedback, the room could do with a full length mirror but everything else was perfect for our stay.
We had a perfect, relaxing week and will definitely be back!

Welcome to Alexis Zorba Villa, 400 m from Almyrida beach

"We were a group of four friends visiting Crete and we had a fantastic time at Villa Alexis Zorba. The location was perfect, a short walk up the hill to the village of Plaka with a good choice of tavernas and supermarkets. A 10 min walk in the opposite direction gets you to the beach, with many more places to eat and drink, with a couple of good bakeries. The highlight of the villa was the balcony with its stunning views. We were also able to use the pool which belongs to the downstairs villa, which was much better than the one allocated to Villa Alexis Zorba which is situated to the side of the property and the view is blocked by large trees. All in all we had a fantastic time and I’d definitely recommend, so long as the pool downstairs is available to use."
