From the historic and convenient location, to the genial and courteous staff, our first stay in Basel was eminently pleasant. The rooms were clean and the breakfast scrumptious. We also loved our tree-framed view of the Spalentor gate, the clean room, stylish decor, and the thoughtful touches including a postcard signed by the staff, and a complimentary Spalentor rubber duck who will accompany us on future adventures. Sadly we only had one night in Basel this time, but hope to return to Hotel Spalentor soon!"
