"This is a nice place but we experienced quite a few issues. The listing says it is dog friendly but when we arrived it turns out this only applies to their self contained accommodation. We got no apology despite them agreeing that the listing wasn’t accurate and we had to arrange for our dog to stay with family. The front door is locked when the pub is closed which is a bit annoying. The cleaning staff ignored the do not disturb sign on the door and let themselves in one morning. It all just...

"Unfortunately not a perfect stay which was very disappointing with it being my husband’s birthday, booked through Hotels.com so not allowed to use the pool unless we paid £45 each, I have never heard of this before.The rooms are very nice but paying £5 for nut or crisps is ridiculous. The breakfast was very underwhelming with minimal choice, awful cold poached eggs, cold plates, weak coffee, all left me feeling very sick! Not worth £291 for one night. "

"I had a wonderful stay, the owners were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and I had a very comfy night. Easy to find and parking too. Overall a really good place to stay. "

"I was informed about being on the 4th floor in advance of my stay, which was not a problem. However, the stairway is steep and has many doors to pass through. The room itself is compromised for height by being in the eaves but not a problem for a solo traveller. Would be a different review if I had been offered this"luxury" double room as a couple"

"Lovely well set out holiday accommodation. Like a modern housing estate. Nice 2 bed comfort clean cottage. Well equipped kitchen. Only negative bath didn't drain and had shower above and no towels or hairdryer provided by host. Had to go buy towels in Filey. This to us is basic essentials. "

"I was shocked to learn that there was a charge for towels that really, should have been included in the £200 price tag for the room. Apart from that, I was happy with everything else. "

"Beautiful garden and room. The room was a good size with a large, comfy bed, great shower and fresh milk for tea and coffee. We ate dinner there, having established that there were options for a vegetarian who was also coeliac. I had a vegan but not GF wellington, which was lovely.
