I live in Colorado, and Aurora isn't known for having the best reputation for safety. It is definitely becoming nicer. I honestly felt that this particular area was nice and felt very safe. I would have no concerns walking around outside at night.

The path from the skywalk to the end of the street going towards the Anschutz Outpatient center was littered with dog poop, you really had to watch your step there. I was only in the area by the medical center.

Lots of homeless population walking around near by and lots of traffic/construction. Overall, I felt safe during the day.. building was secure and you had to use your hotel key to enter building and go up elevator. No major concerns.

Aurora gets a bad wrap but all in all it's just another suburb of a big city, no worse than Everett Washington.
"Overall a great stay. Parking is a huge problem. The extra parking area isn’t secure or easy to access. It’s especially difficult if you have kids and it’s dark no ramp just stairs. No one bothered us but there was a house less camp up there and I was afraid at night. They also gave to go breakfast boxes to some guests but refused to give me which was annoying. "
"It's on a busy road and parking out front is kind of hard to come by (though they have plenty of parking around back), but the property is very nice inside. Warm cookies upon check in. I wished the pool area opened earlier, though. 9am seems kind of late. "
