Explore the rolling countryside and moorlands, with easy access across the borders of Somerset and Dorset to experience the delights all three regions have to offer. The wonderful beaches of Charmouth, West Bay, Sidmouth and Branscombe, as well as the curved pebble bay and cove at Beer, are only a short drive away. At Charmouth, only 20 minutes drive away, you can go fossil hunting on the sandy beach or take a stroll along the coastal path to take in the stunning views of this World Heritage Site. Around the bay is Lyme Regis (15 minutes) styled as ‘the Pearl of Dorset’, a charming seaside town with a sandy beach and a range of delightful shops and restaurants. The historic harbour offers sailing, sea kayak hire and boat/fishing trips where you can bring back fresh mackerel for dinner. The River Yarty flows nearby with footpaths along the banks.
Walkers, hikers, horse riders, cyclists or wild swimmers are all catered for in this beautiful part of the country.
