"Lovely traditional hotel in attractive well-kept grounds, with stunning views. Staff excellent, evening meals outstanding (different menu each day), breakfast average. Ideally situated only 5 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick with free parking. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"We had a great 6 day stay at the Damson Dene. All the staff are super friendly. Had a couple of SPA treatments with Sharon, they were amazing and so reasonable priced. The food in the hotel was superb. The breakfast was plentiful and the evening meals were delicious. The only issue we had was with housekeeping. Over the six days we were there they only made up our room twice. Once we did put the "do not disturb" up as my husband wasn't feeling great. I had to request for them to go in on...

"It was a really pleasant stay all staff was so lovely, everything was lovely and relaxing i would most definitely stay again, shame the weather let us down a bit but still had a great stay. The only thing that was missing a mirror in the room to get ready hair etc."

"The hotel itself is great, with the dining area being beautiful & view great. You are paying for the view. The room was nice but for some unknown reason they put heating on at the height of summer. The window only opens less then a crack. Whist we did get provided with a fan the room was still red hot & as a result i was far too hot all night to sleep. We personally wouldn't stay again for that reason "

"Room on top floor. Lift was working. Twin room, room was a bit tired and could do with redecoration. Facilities were fine, tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was good, traditional or other available. Dinner was in the annexed bar. Food included in my hotel price and was very good. Good selection. Parking was available at a charge of 6 ounds per day."

"I had an enjoyable stay at the 'Patterdale Hotel' as it allowed me to get warm and dry when the conditions outside were atrocious, so bad we all lost TV reception but this was no fault of the hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful throughout. The hotel was completely full over the weekend and parking was difficult, I used the one across the road without issues. In general the décor and furnishings are dated but still functional, don't expect a Premier Inn. The entertainment in the bar on...

"Really helpful team - we needed to collect keys early to attend a wedding and the team not only accomodated this but letbus check in to change Clean, tidy room with everything you need for a short stay. Utterly idyllic views brilliant location "
