Banff Aspen Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"I loved the Banff Aspen Lodge. The hotel was comfortable, well-located, and offered a good value. The Banff Aspen is in downtown Banff (on the main street), about a block away from the shops (super-convenient). The hotel offers complimentary parking. The room was comfortable, clean, and looked new. I had a room in the main building (there are rooms where you had to go outside, I think). There was a small fridge, Nespresso, hot water pot, and a safe in the room. There is a microwave available for guest use near the lobby. The staff said there is coin laundry in the building. Breakfast was excellent. The spread didn't change much from day to day, but it was very good and the breakfast staff were amazing. I loved the mini muffins, fresh fruit, and fancy-ish oatmeal. Front desk staff were great. Tyler (who checked me in) was excellent. There's a coffee shop at the hotel (apart from the breakfast) which was super popular (so it must be good, right?). Wifi was a little pokey at times. There was little internal / external noise except for the train horns (sort of annoying). I went in October and the prices were a good value. I would book this hotel again for sure."

"The staff was very helpful when we asked questions where the best place to go in Canmore, we were lucky to get the hotel booking the last minutes for 1 room left available and the view of our room was awesome and took pictures right by the balcony."

"Clean room and professional staff Maybe doesn’t hurt to put some extra signs with elevator location as I found it a little tricky to locate it (especially on the 4th floor) Otherwise-nice and clean hotel, very convenient!"

"This place was fabulous! The staff were superb, the building was amazing and the surrounding area was stunning! Just know that it’s a Fairmont so the bathrooms are small."
Brewster Mountain Lodge

"Great place to stay if you want to be downtown. Very convenient to shopping and eating. Only downside is it was noisy the two nights we were there. The hotel does supply air buds, but still wasn’t enough to drown out the noise in the wee hours of the morning going on outside. Another night the people above us were moving around and talking loud (our room was 2nd floor) til about 3am. Caveat: I am a light sleeper, so if you are too, you may want to consider a place not as close to downtown area. Other than that, the hotel was clean and nice. Very friendly staff 👍"
