Waves Oceanfront Resort

"Nice to be on the beach with a decent view from our room. Furniture did not fit well, and was beyond shabby. 2 huge TVs. Would have preferred enough chairs for 4 people (room was 2 Q) to sit at the table to eat or play cards, and no TV. Kitchenette worked ok, microwave by request, maybe tv vs chairs could be by request too. We had rainy days and don’t watch TV. Parking was tight even with the $20 per night overflow lot. If you get back late, you are not getting a parking space. We got back late one night… train goes through many times day and night. Whistles. If you are bothered by such things… convenient walk to restaurants, shops, town, the amusement park and the OOB pier. Fireworks on Thursdays, rain or shine. Staff was very helpful, they found us more chairs, remade our bed when a water bottle tipped over while we were preparing for the beach, happily brought us more towels. Lots of kids, good beach for sand castles and pools. No shells or rocks, a bit of seaweed one day."

"Stay was great. A little low on the amenities specifically in the bathroom as there was no body soap or lotion. However the proximity to the beach overrides any shortcomings there. Literally feet away. The doubles are a bit snug for two people in one bed but we made it work. Will come back again!!!"

"We had 2 rooms with kitchenette. The rooms had a musty smell to them. Had to go out and buy scented plug ins for the them. Although it says a no smoking facility, there were people smoking and cigarette butts around area. I know it’s hard to control this but it is really gross when you’re expecting the place to be smoke free. Walls are very very thin. Was woken up to little kids screaming and running every morning. One of rooms did not have a bathroom fan and the other didnt have any shelving or racks for towels in the bathroom. One room was freshened up everyday as the other was not. And both rooms had the make up room tag flipped. Great location to beach. A bit far from downtown. The hotel itself can use some updating but overall it was fine for a beach town with 8 people in our party. The two guys who work the front desk were wonderful !"

"Great place. The lady who checked us in was absolutely a lovely. Great views. The room was comfortable. Another staff member waved goodbye when we dropped our keys in the box this morning. A great way to end our trip in Maine before heading to the airport this morning."

"The beach was easy access. Perfect for grandbabies and small children. Excellent house with ample parking for 4 cars. Communication with the host was AWSOME. Responded very quickly to a few small issues. Highly recommend for a large family/family gathering."

"We bought last minute. We were pleasantly surprised and so thrilled with the location of this property. We were right on a beautiful beach. It was fenced off from the abutting properties. It was private which we loved. The cottage was adequate, very clean, but I have to admit it is dated. The bed could use updating, but otherwise we had no complaints. We had a wonderful time. It was equipped with everything we needed, especially if you’re planning to cook meals. If you don’t mind, older places, I highly recommend this cottage."

"Our family had a great stay here!!We had multiple families age 1-71 and the space was perfect for us. It was clean and the location is absolutely unbeatable! After reading some of the reviews we did bring our own larger pots & pans, some extra toilet paper, camp chairs for living spaces & shower curtain which we left up. There was a broom and dustpan which was helpful for sand. Overall our family had an amazing stay and can’t wait to stay here next year!"
