"Excellent site with great parking, accepts dogs into the pod and the costs of a one night stay we found very reasonable. Not many pod owners have just one night stays and that's why we stayed there. Give it a bash.

"Perfect- 11 out of 10!-Room was lovely,no expense spared anywhere, Contained everything we needed,Cozy and exceptionally clean. Really quick and efficient check in. Staff all so really polite and helpful, Relaxed and professional. Food there was Amazing and cooked breakfast was the best we’ve experienced.We got a great deal for a one night stay over in Aug 2025 but this hotel is so so good. "A beautifully charming quiet property with equally charming owners. With a peaceful walled garden, off-street parking, complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, and a DVD/ Book library to lounge in with a furry friend.
A short drive to York or York Park & Ride, and many Michelin pubs in the area.
I very much liked this place, and I will return."

"This isnt a manned hotel.. Its comfortable clean rooms in an unoccupied house.
That being said its secure warm and a great stay. Slept really well. The bathroom and shower where great. 10 min walk into town great quiet location.
I had to contact owners as door code wasn't received. Call was answered quickly and help was brilliant"

"I was with a young friend and her 3-year-old boy. The waiters were really sweet with him bringing him a folder with colouring games to play and a fox mask. One waiter brought him extra strawberries. They all made a fuss of him which was much appreciated.
We had very good service too! And enjoyed our breakfasts and dinner. We just had one night with you.
I chose you for your brilliant site opposite the Minster and was not disappointed! "

"The food and staff are absolutely wonderful. The room was beautiful with a canopy bed and a sitting area which was a welcoming area to relax after a day of sightseeing. It's also very well positioned for day adventures to the coast and York. The management team were also very visible for information and they even arranged my laundry. I would like to mention the food. The kitchen staff did a wonderful job as did the wait staff and housekeeping.

"Jorvik House was a great stay for our overnight trip in York and was centrally located but away from the crowds of the city. The room was well appointed and quiet, and we had the best night’s sleep of our entire 3-week UK trip in the very comfortable bed!
The only fault of our stay is the lack of clarity around the parking at the property - we weren’t aware of the parking situation before we arrived and the closest car park was £25 per night. "
