"The pool was nice on the Riverwalk. However, the outside main entrance to the hotel had a sewage type smell (maybe from the river). There was not enough towels in the bathroom and it needed upgrading. It seemed like the kitchen exhaust was exhausting to the 5th floor so I smelled fried food. I actually thought the hotel was a little dingy."

"Probably room specific but remote to TV didn’t work, shower didn’t drain and there were fruit flies. Location is fantastic and it was surprisingly quiet at night for such an active building. "

"Two down sides to our stay. Upon arrival at 7:30PM on a Sunday, could not get anyone in the bar/restaurant and had to go to the font desk to ask for a server. Took 10 minutes to get hot water in the shower the entire stay and then could not get it to regulate. Only hot or cold water."

"We had a great stay in the Hampton Inn Downtown Channel District. We stayed before and after a cruise and could not have been happier. The place was clean and beautiful and the staff was great! We took the shuttle to/from the cruise terminal and the driver (I'm so frustrated that I can't remember his name) was great! He gave us tips for spending the day in Tampa after we returned to the hotel following the cruise. The hotel was convenient to the terminal and there were many places to eat and walk around. We would happily cruise out of Tampa and use this hotel again. Our only negative was the traffic noise from cars racing up and down the road...but that's not a hotel issue. "
