"I stayed two nights at ashworth by the sea. It was more updated than I expected it to be. The building seemed very well maintained. The rooms were beautiful. We stayed in the two queen with ocean view. The view was breath taking. The front desk staff was very friendly and informative. There were only two negative remarks I must state. 1. I wish we didn't have to use valet parking. I think it was ridiculous that, that was the only parking option available. I would have loved to seen self parking...

"It was a great 3 day vacation. The staff was nice…the room was clean and the pool was nice. The property was clean I wish there were more accessible trash cans. The beds were okay I wouldn’t say comfortable but not horrible. The bathroom was very clean no mold and the shower curtain was clean which is important to me…the coffee maker worked although I didn’t drink it and the fridge and microwave was in working condition. The negative parts were the curtain on our window was not long enough so...

"My stay was for one night only. There is a deadbolt lock in addition to the regular lock on the handle. I closed the deadlock. Later, when I wanted to go out for dinner, I could don't get the deadbolt open. I had opened it earlier with no problem so this was a little strange. I was locked in my hotel room until maintenance came and pulled the screens off the windows so he could reach in and spray the lock with WD-40. The lock was still sticky after that so I only locked it 1/3 of the way. ...

"We enjoyed our overnight at Lamie's. We stayed in the older section and the brick wall and 4 poster beds added a homey, authentic feel to the vibe of the Old Salt Tavern next door. Beds comfortable, room clean. The rooms & bathroom are a little small but perfect if your plan doesn;t include spending lots of time in your room. We came to visit friends in the area and had lunch and dinner at the Old Salt which was really convenient to just come downstairs rather than having to drive somewhere...

"The location of this property was great, on the perimeter of downtown Portsmouth which is a wonderful little city. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, both for good selection and the taste. My biggest complaint is that it was very noisy in my room. The AC unit is the loudest I've ever heard. A few times I thought it was a nearby train when it started running. Also the people in the room above me woke me up at 1 AM doing something. I didn't hear voices...
