The host Alex is a great all around person. He greeted me and walked the property with me. In addition, he provided me with great information about the Dover Castle and how to reach it. The castle is conveniently located a 20 minute uphill walk from the house.
Another great convenient item is the Train station is an easy 20 minute walk through the city center.
I highly recommend the Church Hill House. Also, Alex cooks a great breakfast.

Even though it is an old home, the bathrooms are up to date and it was clean. It was quite and very comfortable. We definitely recommend having breakfast at the hotel. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Dover.

Truly a unique hotel room - the exposed timbers from the 16th century were so amazing! The stairs to the attic room (where we stayed) were uneven and interesting, but not difficult to navigate as long as you are not disabled. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic and the air conditioning was very appreciated.
