"Staff friendly and food reasonable good, but disability access and condition of property not as advertised on Hotels.com - Hotels.com description and photos very misleading. The property isn't disability friendly, the access to "ground floor" rooms (which aren't part of "hotel"), is quite uneven terrain, not entirely safe in a wheelchair. There's a gap between front door of room, so direct exposure to outside, hence freezing cold air just came blasting in and also an open gateway to creepy crawlies coming in, we had to kill a number of insects during our 3 night stay, which really freaked me out as I'm an arachnophobe. The shower chair wasn't very secure it kept slipping. There are no disability grab rails anywhere in the bathroom, and there's a steep ramp up to the door, which I wouldn't have been able to wheel myself up, so thankfully I wasn't alone and my husband struggled to push me up. The door ways were quite narrow and small threshold steps everywhere, so good I could get out of wheelchair to step over, though I could easily have fallen if I lost feeling in my leg which happens all the time, without warning hence me being in a wheelchair. The other really annoying part of our stay was the extremely poor WiFi reception, so couldn't do amazon prime telly on demand, or hubby watch favourite YouTube, cause that's the relaxing things we want to do when we go away for a long weekend, sightseeing is difficult in a wheelchair. But staff very friendly, nice people. "

"Hi we’ve just got back from a night away at Cart Cottage as our daughter was getting married at a venue not far away from cart cottage, it was perfect for our stay plenty of room for a makeup artist and hair dresser as well to start early in the morning, the views are amazing the grandchildren loved it, only wish the weather was better to appreciate it more, but very well equipped has everything we needed, beds were very comfortable, would definitely be staying again if we are in the area x"

"This is our second year staying at the Kingfisher cottage and we have had another brilliant weekend. The space is perfect for multiple families getting together and is really set up for big groups. The hosts were so helpful with helping with check in/check out times and all our other needs (travel cots, high chairs etc). Thank you for another lovely stay!"

"We had great two nights here, off grid, remote and amazing.The site is set out well, the summer house was good when on the first night we had rain. The kitchen was well equipped and the firepit was brilliant. The second day and night was dry & warm so we were able to use the decking and sofas.The hut is cosy and even in the colder night were were warm.Would highly recommend"

From the warm welcome from the owners, with wine and seasonal treats, to the stunning accommodation and superb location, we knew as soon as we arrived that we had found the perfect place. The big kitchen is fully equipped for a big party, and the huge dining table was perfect for our celebration dinners. Everyone in our party loved it there. I can't speak highly enough of it. It's exceptional."

"We had a lovely week in The Hurstings. The accommodation was warm and light, and had everything we needed and more. It is in a lovely location with the watermill and tea room a few steps away. The tea room does great cakes and lunches, and the tour of the watermill is fascinating. The Hurstings is an excellent base for day trips to Ludlow, Ironbridge, Shrewsbury and Tewksbury. Bridgnorth itself is a lovely town. We would recommend the food at the Royle but you do need to book."
