"Fantastic staff, luxurious property, and the best pool and hot tub I’ve used. Kingbird restaurant was excellent as well and the proximity to Foggy Bottom and the National Mall made our visit to DC efficient too. "

"There were power tools in the bathroom, which made me believe they were left there after work was done in bathroom. I thought nothing of it because I had a guest at the moment. I received a call from the front desk telling me that my bathroom was not working and someone was actively repairing it and then she would have to give me a different room. Before I could finish packing to leave a Staffen had entered my room with one knock and no waiting for an answer. It was extremely embarrassing."

"The front desk staff was very helpful during the check in process and changing of rooms. To no fault of theirs, we had to change rooms and I ended up in an hypoallergenic room which was perfect for me. Room was clean and had the most wonderful view. Room service was great."

"Honestly, for the difference in price compared to the Washington Hilton (that was right across the street and where my conference was taking place), I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't pick this place. Only downsides were slow wifi (just barely above 1 Mbps on average!), one of the two elevators out of order during my stay(yet never really waited long to catch it), and the restaurant/bar not functional one night (wife having a baby, I heard....that's more important!), and nasty road construction going on (not the hotel's fault), I really enjoyed my stay. Very quiet and nostalgic, and in a great location. I will be back if ever coming back to the area! Great value. Friendly staff!"

"The hotel is nestled into the Glover Park section of DC near Georgetown. The hotel appears to have gone through a renovation which was well done. Check in is manual, but a quick process. Our room, a King deluxe was spacious and had a small kitchen with stove, fridge and sink, so you can apparently stay long term. The corner room had a view of the Washington Monument and some very nice G-town homes next door. Bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. Our dinner at Davino was also really good though the service was slow for a Sunday. Didn’t matter to us as we weren’t in any rush. We may be back as we will need to come back to G-town hospital in a couple of months and Glover Park is marvelously convenient at a good rate!"

"Pros; Great location, clean, comfortable bed, close to restaurants and shops, communal kitchen in the basement with a microwave. Cons; the water pressure in the building is super low, it's literally a trickle of water what you have to take a shower. Walls are thin. Our room #11, had a window air-conditioning and it was not cold enough at night so I'm guessing in summer must get pretty hot. The room doesn't have a coffee maker. But overall I could definitely stay there again if in the area."
