"Unmatched location, all rooms look over the stunning 1930’s garden and magnificent mountains and lake, no bad views! The hotel exudes old world charm, and while some may find this ‘dated’ we found it delightful. The Franco-Japanese -Deco blend carries through to cuisine and 2 fantastic restaurants (though not for the budget conscious). A truly unique and memorable stay. Would come back in a heart beat. "

The public onsen was empty both times we used it so actually quite private and so relaxing!! The hotel were so kind and decorated our room for our honeymoon. The food was sublime, I would definitely recommend getting dinner, and our special fruit plate was such a sweet touch.
