"Lovely room "

"We recently stayed at this cottage in Bradwell and unfortunately had a disappointing experience overall. While the location is nice, the property itself felt very run down and tired. There were clear signs of damp on the walls and ceilings, and the general condition of the place didn’t match what we expected from the listing photos. One of the more concerning issues was that the smoke alarm had an expiry date sticker from 2014, which didn’t inspire much confidence in the maintenance or safety checks. The cottage was also extremely cold during our stay, making it quite uncomfortable, especially in the evenings. Due to these issues, we ended up leaving early on Tuesday morning, despite originally being booked until Friday. Overall, the place has potential, but it really needs updating and better upkeep to meet a reasonable standard."

"Very good location. Very friendly staff. We had food in the restaurant and it was very yummy and very big portions which was good. The room was clean and there was plenty of amenities in the room. The only bad thing for us was that there was a live band on till very late (well after 10:30pm) we couldn’t get to sleep after a long day of hiking. The bar doesn’t stop serving until 12 we were informed and that apparently they do a lock in for the locals. We left the hotel as we couldn’t sleep with the music being so loud. "

"Lovely stay. The staff were excellent - very welcoming. Lovely breakfast and great location for exploring. Beds rather soft and bathroom would benefit from an update."

"Great location & quirky layout / cosy accommodation. Could do with a few extra mugs, a physical welcome pack (for non internet savvy guests) and higher quality bedding. Village has decent pubs, amenities and local walking opportunities. Overall we had an enjoyable stay & would consider using 'Taylor Holiday Lets' again :-)"

"Clean room, very comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen"

"We didn’t have hot water for the whole of our stay. We were told it would come back on after the first day and it did not. The next time they said it we wanted to shower we had to do it in another room, however they asked us to share this room key with other people which wasn’t what we thought when booking. The radiator also didn’t work for the whole duration for the stay and as it was a rainy day we struggled having no heating or hot water. Half way through getting ready to go out on the second night the electricity went out and we were in total darkness. We were given an apology and was told one nights stay would be refunded, they then only sent the money for half of that night and have been ignoring all correspondence since."
