The Belvedere Himalayan Retreat, Mcleodganj by Leisure Hotels

"A unique gem, hidden away in McLeod Ganj. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. Rooms feature world class facilities. Breakfast buffet is excellent and includes expresso drinks. A nice bar with a view. Rooms facing the valley have a nice view, They also have a full spa and gym onsite. Its also very close to the center of the area and is accessed by narrow city streets. Reception is great at arranging taxis to take you to local destinations. If you are coming in a larger vehicle, we were in 11 seater Urbania, driver need guidance how to get down to the hotel, Most sedans, SUVs and Minivans will have no problem getting in and out."

"Beautiful little gem of a hotel located right next to the Dalai Lama temple. Loved our stay here. Extremely comfortable time there with very attentive staff, and lovely rooms. Traditional Tibetan decor made it a special experience. Onsite restaurant with free breakfast was wonderful too. Tibetan cuisine offerings were great. Loved every minute of our stay. We’ll be back!"

"The room was very clean and the hotel location is in a peaceful forest 15 minutes walk to McLeod Ganj where the Dalai Lama lives and the main square. The food at breakfast was excellent and you can ask for things like bananas that were not on the table. The staff were attentive. Our laundry service was excellent as well."

"Our room was clean. The mountain view is nice. Staffs are very genuinely nice and friendly. We got a lot of useful information regarding the etiquette to meet his holiness, things to do, where to eat around Dharamshala. We had a good time and was immensely grateful for their help."

"Stayed at this hotel on Temple Road, McLeod Ganj in January end 2026 and honestly had a very nice experience. Food was really good. The balcony view was amazing — you can see Dharamshala and snow-covered mountains, which felt super peaceful. The place is calm and quiet but still very close to the main square and Dalai Lama Temple, so location is perfect. Mrs Sonia at the reception was very welcoming and kind, made us feel comfortable right from the start. Overall, a simple, peaceful stay with great views and good food. "
