We had a 2 bedroom suite and had a huge porch on the 2nd floor.. we spent many hours here, getting ready, having drinks , playing games etc. Inside the apartment was a little dated but fine for what we needed. When the bed settee was down there was very little space to move about. Would definitely return. The pool was small and it was quiet. There was several sunbeds and table and chairs. The widows walk only had 2 sunbeds .. if there had been more, we would have gone up there more.

Room was fine except VERY OLD springy uncomfortable mattress, both My wife and i's backs ate killing us after 3 days. Also the volume of water that comes out in the shower is ridiculously weak. It's not the pressure its how much comes out. They must have it turned down or partially closed somewhere.

We used to LOVE this location with the gardens, the carriage house, the calm area.... But, this trip changed our minds. We were on the third floor in the Cigar House, which was not a problem for us, but you can clearly tell this is not a room used often- seems to be a room for oversold guests as it wasn't as clean or maintained as the other rooms we have stayed in here. Unbeknownst to us when we booked, the entire cigar house was rented out to a very large group of intoxicated adults who partied from late in the afternoon, at least 20-40 of them in the tiny pool until 2-3am. So, we couldn't use the pool or the sitting areas. Couldn't even sit in our chairs outside on the WE ARE NOT HIGH MAINTENANCE PEOPLE. So, we let them have their fun and we just found other places to go and put off actually relaxing- Unfortunatelythe reason we were going away and why we stay at Island City House... As there is no staff on site after 6/7, there is no one to call. We stayed here as it is usually quiet and at the price point has a higher quality clientele- not the case this time. And, what really made us realize it is time we found a new "go to" location to stay in KW... when they didn't even ask how our stay was when we checked out. Nothing. Not the obligatory conversation as you pay your incidentals... nothing.

This was a historic resort in a beautiful garden location, located close to the old town of Key West. The staff was extremely helpful and the place was clean, quiet, I’m relaxing. I would definitely stay here again in the future and recommend it to anyone visiting Key West.

We stayed in the Cigar House at Island City House Hotel. It was like a treehouse retreat, and very spacious for a DT Key West hotel! The outdoor balcony area was also very private and nice.

I enjoyed my stay at the Island City House. The cleaning staff is amazing. I reserved a Cigar house king room and it was nice having a full kitchen and living room. It was within walking distance to everything. The paths through the property are lined with plants and trees. There is a great fish restaurant across Eaton Street that I loved. The bed was comfortable. One of the blinds on the window was difficult to close, but once I closed it I left it closed. The room had plenty of natural light, but you could close the blinds if needed. The AC worked great. They provide a small area to put toiletries in the bathroom. They provided a couple of beach towels in the room. You can rent bicycles from them that are at the entrance if you would rather ride to places. I loved the location and the room. I would definitely return.

Very good stay, the room was clean and had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The balcony could have been tidier but this is only due to the amount of trees near the balcony so cannot be helped really! Location is perfect and only a 5 minute walk from bars, restaurants and shops. There is also a seafood market across the road which does an amazing lobster roll!

Our stay at Island House in the Keys was absolutely wonderful! The property was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The location was perfect, with stunning views and easy access to everything we wanted to do. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Keys. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway!
