"The clean and spacious parking, secure and included in the price, is a major plus point. The full English buffet breakfast is really excellent. Even at the end of the breakfast window, nothing is dry or overcooked, including the eggs. All members of staff were welcoming and helpful. The lounge has a lovely view of the river. Our room and bathroom were comfortable and quiet. The desserts at dinner were wonderful, but the main courses were disappointing, with quite tough meat. Be aware that the minster is a good 15 minute walk away, not 7 minutes as advertised! Even so, this hotel is so well located and managed that it is a pleasure to stay here."
